In solemn remembrance of Bharat Ratna Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam on his 7th Year death Anniversary, family members and dignitaries paid their heartfelt tributes at the National Memorial Peikarumbu in Rameswaram. Captain Vikrant Sabnis from INS PARUNDU, Indian Navy, along with esteemed guests, honored Dr. Kalam’s legacy by laying flowers at his memorial.
Following this solemn moment, the Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam International Foundation, House of Kalam Rameswaram, organized the Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Memorial lecture at Vardhini Mahal. The event commenced with Tamil Thai Vazhthu and included dignitaries such as Thiru Katharbatcha Muthuramalingam MLA, Thiru K. E. Naazarkhan, and Thiru V. Dhatchanamoorthy.
In a celebration of Dr. Kalam’s spirit, the foundation presented the Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Pride of India Awards – 2022, recognizing individuals who epitomize his values. The event featured cultural performances depicting Dr. Kalam’s life history through Bharatha Natiyam and Silambam stage performances.
Distinguished guests, including Captain Vikrant Sabnis, and esteemed members of the House of Kalam, graced the occasion with their presence. The event also saw the launch of notable initiatives such as the book “KALAMIN NEURON” and the Kalam Space Challenge 2022 Contest, symbolizing Dr. Kalam’s enduring legacy in science, education, and societal development.
